HG/SS Red guide

Beating Red can be a hard task. Today I am going to make a guide that might help you succeed in beating him. First off with this guide You will need at least a lv 75 Typhlosion or A lv 75 Fire type with Eruption and/or Flamethrower and a Mewtwo with Psychic and Thunder and some revives (preferably max revives). So first Red sends out a lv 88 Pikachu. Make your fire type use eruption or flamethrower to take it out (preferably eruption). Now more than likely he will send out a lv 84 Blastoise. Switch out your fire type to Mewtwo. Make your Mewtwo use thunder until it is taken out and you might need to use a revive depending on your Mewtwos lv. Now he will more than likely send out a lv 80 Lapras. Keep out your Mewtwo and keep using Thunder until it faints.(might need a revive)Now he will send out a lv 82 Snorlax that can be hard to beat. Send out your fire type now and use Eruption and flamethrower until it faints. (Will need a revive) Now he will probably send out a lv 84 Venasaur. Keep out your fire type and use Eruption and/or Flamethrower until it faints. This should take 2 turns if you are under lv 80. Now its time for a lv 84 Charizard. You can keep out your fire Pokemon and use Double Edge if it has it. If not send out Mewtwo and use Thunder until it is taken out. You have now defeated Red congrats and I know this probably isn't the best guide on how to beat Red but this is how I defeated him and I though I would just let you know.

PokeWalker Guide

The PokeWalker is a Pedometer that comes with Pokemon HG/SS. You can send a Pokemon from your PC into the PokeWalker to go on a stroll with you. If you walk far enough when you put the Pokemon back into the game it will lv up. As you walk you earn Watts which unlock new PokeWalker routes or you can use the Dowsing MCHN or PokeRadar. You can hold up to 3 Pokemon and items in the PokeWalker. You earn 1 watt every 20 steps you take so walk a lot!

The PokeRadar:
The PokeRadar is used for mini Pokemon battles in the PokeWalker against wild Pokemon. You can catch these Pokemon and once you connect the PokeWalker back to the game the Pokemon will be transferred to your PC. The Pokemon you will be able to catch depend on which route you are on and how many steps you have taken on that route. The PokeRadar costs 10 watts per each use.

The Dowsing MCHN:
The Dowsing MCHN is used to find items. The items vary from every route. The Dowsing MCHN cost 3 watts per use.

HeartGold/SoulSilver Legendaries

Raikou and Entei:
Raikou and Entei must be woken up in the Burned Tower in Ecruteak City before you can catch them. After that they will roam around Johto. Be sure to have a Pokemon with mean look in your party so them wont flee. To see their current location check the PokeGears map.

Suicune:
Like Raikou and Entei Suicune must be woken up at the Burned Tower. But instead of it roaming Johto it will be in fixed locations and you must find it. The locations in order are Cianwood City, the middle entrance to Mt. Mortar, Vermilion City, Route 14, and lastly by Bill's house on route 25. You will be able to capture it by Bill's house but if you fail to capture it you have to beat the Elite Four again and then go to the Burned Tower to capture it. I suggest saving before attempting to catch it.

Ho-oh:
If you have HeartGold you will be able to encounter Ho-oh after you beat Claire and get the Rainbow Wing from the Radio Tower's Director after you beat Team Rocket in Goldenrod City. Then you must beat the Kimono Girls at the Ecruteak dance theater to get the Clear Bell. Then you must climb Bell Tower and once you are at the top you will be able to fight and catch Ho-oh after the Kimono Girls summon it. If you have SoulSilver you must go to Pewter City and get the Rainbow Wing from a man there then climb to the top of Bell Tower and Ho-oh will be there. I suggest saving before attempting to catch it.

Lugia:
If you have SoulSilver you will be able to encounter Lugia after you beat Claire and get the Silver Wing from the Radio Tower's Director after you beat Team Rocket in Goldenrod City. Then you must beat the Kimono Girls at the Ecruteak dance theater to get the Tidal Bell. Then make your way to the Whirl Islands and get to where the Kimono Girls are at then they will Summon Lugia and you can battle and catch it. If you have HeartGold you must go to Pewter City and get the Silver Wing from a man there then get through the Whirl Islands and Lugia will be there. I suggest saving before attempting to catch it.

Articuno:
Articuno can be found in the Seafoam Islands after earning all 16 badges. I suggest saving before attempting to catch it.

Zapdos:
Zapdos can be found in front of the Power Plant after earning all 16 badges. I suggest saving before attempting to catch it.

Moltres:
Moltres can be found in Mt. Silver after earning all 16 badges. I suggest saving before attempting to catch it.

Mewtwo:
After obtaining all 16 badges make your way through the Cerulean Cave to get Mewtwo. I suggest saving before attempting to catch it.

Latias/Latios:
After you fix the Power Plant go to the Vermilion Fan Club then walk outside and Steven will inform you that Latias (if you have HeartGold) Latios (if you have SoulSilver)is roaming Kanto. Check your PokeGears map to see Latias or Latios's Location. You will need a Pokemon with mean look so it wont flee. I suggest getting a Lv 40+ Golbat from the Seafoam Islands and Lv a bit so it is faster than Latias/Latios.

Groudon/Kyogre:
After obtaining a Kanto starter from Professor Oak go to Mr. Pokemon's house to collect a Blue Orb (HeartGold) or a Red Orb (SoulSilver). Then head to the Embedded Tower on Route 47. Once inside you will fight and try to catch Kyogre if you have HeartGold or Groudon if you have SoulSilver. I suggest saving before attempting to catch it.

Rayquaza: Once you have both Kyogre and Groudon Professor Oak will give you a Jade Orb which will allow you to fight and catch Rayquaza int he Embedded Tower. I suggest saving before attempting to catch it.

Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina:
Fist of all to get any of these Pokemon you must have a Arceus.Once you have it put it first in your party and go to the Ruins Of Alph research center. Theb you will be taken down the Ruins and then transported to the Sinjoh Ruins. Go outside and talk to the hiker who will take you to Cynthia. Deposite all of your Pokemon into the PC besides Arceus and then go talk to Cynthia. You will then be given the choice to choose from a lv 1 Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina. Choose wisely.
